about me

Hi, y'all! I'm Hope. Thanks for stopping by my blog!

I'm a lover of Jesus Christ, Dustin's wife, Charlotte's mama, and a Registered Dietitian.

I'm a friend, a daughter, a sister, and a puppy momma to two precious pooches.

I am passionate about healthy living, both spiritually and physically. Faith and food are my favorites!

I love scripture, cooking, fresh flowers, pigs, the color pink, lists, optimism, chocolate, monograms, hospitality, and all things Southern.

I started this blog just before Dustin and I moved from our hometown in Kentucky to Illinois. I wanted hospitable place to share recipes, book recommendations, random moments in our life, and my heart. I also wanted it to be a place to encourage others to do the same. When I think about cozy, comforting, safe places of refuge, the first thought that comes to mind is home.

You'll notice the "rooms" in the header. In the "kitchen" you will find posts including recipes and nutrition tips. Oh how I wish we could all whip up some healthy deliciousness together in my real kitchen! On the "porch" you will find posts that share more of my heart. These posts I would love to discuss over tea in the rocking chairs on our back porch. In the "library" you will find my book reviews and recommendations.

It's my desire to taste and see the goodness of the Lord in the everyday moments of life.

I'd love for you to join me!

Oh taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed in the man who takes refuge in him!
{Psalm 34:8}
